MTF is short of Modulation Transfer Function(光学调制传递函数)，or
Contrast Transfer Function(对比度转换函数).
The definition of Modulation is (Imax-Imin)/(Imax+Imin);This value satand for Optics Contrast.

M:Modulation; Imax is the max of intensity; Imin is the min of intensity.

Modulation基本上可以看成是经过归一化的对比值。

The difinition of MTF:

MTF:调制传递函数；Mi：物面的Modulation；Mo：像面的Modulation.
MTF概论

对于镜头而言，像差越大，镜头的光学品质越差，MTF值越低。所以，对于成像用之镜头设计，均以MTF值作为分析指标。
空间频率(ν)指的就是黑白条纹线对的密度，单位为lp/mm。
