Enterprise Network administrator may faultly forget to configure wpad hostname to DNS server.
If use input http://wpad , it will fail.
in this condition , configure firefox [Automatic proxy configuration URL] to http://wpad.us.xxx.xxx/wpad
(an existing server) , to help browser find the proxy setting.
