[SQL Server 2005]String or binary data would be truncated

    在SQL Server 2005中，当用Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio打开一个表，查询一条记录进行修改时，如果返回的字段中有一个是ntext类型，并且该字段中有数据，那在查询结果中直接修改某个字段的值，会出现这样的错误提示：   

提示信息

No row was updated.

The data in row 1 was not committed.
Error Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider.
Error Message: String or binary data would be truncated.

The statement has been terminated.

Correct the errors and retry or press ESC to cancel the change(s).

    解决方法：在查询语句中的select字段中去掉ntext类型的字段。
