This topic describes how to set up a WPF/E project using Visual Studio.

Note: Make sure you completely uninstall any previous versions of the "WPF/E" Visual Studio 2005 Template. Before following these instructions.

1. Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
2. Close all open instances of Visual Studio.
3. Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 SP1 Update, available on the Visual Studio SP1 support page.
4. Install the WPF/E SDK.
5. Install the WPF/E Visual Studio Template. Click the Start button, and then click All Programs. Click WPFE SDK and then Tools. Click Install WPFE VS Template to begin the installation. follow its instructions for installing the Visual Studio 2005 WPF/E template.

To create a new WPF/E Visual Studio 2005 project, launch Visual Studio 2005 and select File | New| Project.... Under Project Types, select Other Languges | Visual C#. Under Templates, select WPF/E Javascript Application.

Note: The project template is installed on a per-user basis. The project template can be found in the My Templates section of the C# language category.
