Comments on May Day holiday adjustment
The news report I give is about some personal commmets on the decision of May Day holiday adjustment decided by the State Council.
Although most of you have heard this piece of news,I still think it is necessary to restate it.April 28th and May 5th originally were two holidays,changed into two holidays due to the policy.And to make up for this change,May 2nd and May 3rd become two holidays,so,along with May Day(5.1) and this Saturday(5.4),we have welcomed our first different May Day holiday.So,it is no wonder that you may be overwhelmed by this long sabbatical of four full days at first sight.But after you calm down and carefully analyse,you will find the benefits of the holiday are the same as they were in the past.
But why is the policy so popular with young people?Actually it was because they have senses of consumption fever and have a strong craving for travelling,spending time with families,friends,or coworkers,just for leisure.Nowadays young people always long for sabbatical and this four full-day holidays seems to be the best choice for them.
As far as I am concerned,the policy will greatly stimulate consumption,enhance the increase of GDP(gross domestic production for short), and this ,in my own opinion,is the essential purpose of why this policy was carried out.
