As we all know, POS, POW and their mixed has been known as the best proof way in blockchain market. And the following part is the comparison among them. As a proof, POW is more mature than POS, and POS is better in security and sustainability. There is also some brand new way to be a proof, such as that EOS is in DPOS or the other coins in PBFT.

Quark was issued on July 21, 2013. It uses CPU for mining, one block every 30 seconds and 2048 quark coins per block. It had a total currency of 247 million coins and produced 247,605,120 quarks in the first 36 weeks, and 1,050,000 quarks per year after March 30, 2014. The difficulty is adjusted every 20 blocks (up from a maximum of 10% and a minimum of 50%).
