Repulsion Loss Detecting Pedestrians in a Crowd

• study the impact of crowd occlusion on pedestrian detection
• Two types of repulsion losses: RepGT Loss and RepBox Loss
• a crowd-robust pedestrian detector is trained end-to-end

Repulsion Term (RepGT)

• designed to repel a proposal from its neighboring ground-truth objectswhich are not its target.

• repel each proposal from others with different designated targets
