SharePoint Configuration Wizard失败“Failed to install the application content files.”的解决方案

在对客户SharePoint2016做CUPatching时，安装完升级包后，执行SharePointConfiguration Wizard时进行到第8步时，弹出如下错误“Failed to install the applicationcontent files.”

 

根据提示log位置打开查看log中有如下错误：

 

经过排查主要是因为更新IIS中Web Site的web.config文件失败，那就要对IIS中web site进行检查。

 

1. 打开IIS，展开Sites显示所有的web sites，每个进行check，发现有web site丢失web site location，没有web.config，无法使用。

 

2. 将这些有问题的web site点击remove移除
3. 全部检查完成没有问题后，重新run SharePoint Configuration Wizard，配置成功，问题解决。
