 Edit > Preferences > File Types/Editors
 you will find .js .asa .css .inc .txt .as .asc .asr .htaccess .htpasswd
 add your extension at the end to be like this
 .js .asa .css .inc .txt .as .asc .asr .htaccess .htpasswd .lng
 my additional extension here was .lng file.
